The leader of Spain is expected to make an official visit to Kyiv, during which he will hold talks with Zelensky and visit the Ukrainian parliament
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez will visit Kyiv to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and give a speech at the Ukrainian parliament. The visit is meant to show support for Ukraine, especially in the face of Russia’s full-scale invasion. Sánchez will also visit towns near Kyiv known for alleged Russian war crimes and lay a wreath at a war memorial. Spain is one of several NATO allies sending modern tanks to Ukraine and has trained 800 Ukrainian troops. The visit comes after a surprise visit by US President Joe Biden, who announced new assistance for Kyiv.
